Hundspann in Dalarna
Malin Sundin Grindal is a dairy farmer, runs a kennel with polar dogs and competes in sled dog sports. Malin has taken over the farm from her parents, who also had sled dogs. And so it has just continued.
Malin lives with her family, husband Mattias and two children, in Näset, Orsa. Above all, it is the variety and diversity of the seasons that she likes the most.
“Here is everything you need. One morning in April, I can drive on the skerries with the dog sled at Koppången, and later in the afternoon run the spring farm down on the isthmus.
In addition to work and dogs, Malin likes to read and write. On her own Facebook page, she describes herself as follows: “proud dairy farmer, mother, author and kennel owner”. Maybe another book by Malin Sundin Grindal will be published soon?
Malin has won several World Championship gold medals and silvers in her sled dog sport sled dog style. She mainly runs medium and long distances with 8-12 dogs in the team and usually runs from 80 km up to 400 km.
– I appreciate purebred dogs, it is a hardy breed that fits perfectly with what I like. The sport of sled dogs naturally gives me a rich and varied outdoor life.
In the video, Malin talks about her Siberian husky and about Orsa’s beautiful nature.
